When people talk about growth in Sussex County, the conversation usually focuses on what’s being built.

But before that land was ever considered for development, it was feeding families, supporting local jobs, strengthening our poultry industry, and preserving the way of life that makes Sussex County special.

Doug Conaway believes growth and agriculture can—and should—coexist. Responsible growth means planning for the future without losing sight of the farms and families that have been the foundation of this community for generations.
