Leadership is not about walking into a room with a closed mind. (Video)

Leadership is not about walking into a room with a closed mind. It is about listening, finding common ground, and bringing people together to accomplish a shared goal.

At the District 41 Candidate Forum, Doug Conaway spoke about the leadership experience he gained during 25 years of service in the United States Army. Throughout his career, he worked alongside people from different backgrounds, political beliefs, races, and walks of life—because when there is a mission to accomplish, division cannot be allowed to stand in the way of progress.

Doug will bring that same open-minded, mission-focused approach to Dover. He is prepared to work with Republicans, Democrats, and Independents while remaining firmly grounded in his values and focused on delivering meaningful results for the people of District 41.

Doug also took a moment to recognize the veterans, law enforcement officers, firefighters, and first responders in attendance. These courageous men and women raised their hands to serve, protect, and sacrifice for their communities and their country. Their service deserves our lasting gratitude and respect.

District 41 deserves a proven leader who will listen, serve with integrity, and never lose sight of the people he represents.

God bless our troops, God bless our first responders, and God bless the United States of America.
