I received this email from one of my soon to be constituents!

Hello. I noticed a truck sitting in front of my house. Of course I had that “now who the heck is this!” attitude staring out the door. Next thing I know, someone is getting out of the truck. “Oh great and here he comes! Who the heck is this!!!” This gentleman greeted me with a smile and a handshake. “Hello I’m Doug Conaway…” And of course I was NOT the friendliest homeowner! After Mr. Conaway introduced himself, I truly apologized!! I felt awful being so “cranky” . He told me all about himself and his plans and talked to me like he had known me forever! I really liked what he had to say, and I truly liked that he went door-to-door and introduced himself.

I’m from Long Island, New York. Need to say more about my attitude? If we see somebody coming to our door well… I probably don’t have to explain. So I do truly apologize for the attitude I had at first when Mr. Conaway came to my door. He is the nicest gentleman! Last night was the representative meeting. All I can say is, I think we pretty much know who the favorite was! Mr. Conaway did an absolutely fantastic job of introducing himself, answering the questions and involving the people! So without a doubt, Mr. Conaway, you have my vote!
